Mayors’ Summit

Registration is still open for people who want to participate in this year’s 2025 Tri-Valley Mayors’ Summit Luncheon, which is scheduled for next Wednesday (Oct. 15) at the Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton.

The annual event will bring together the mayors of Pleasanton, Danville, Dublin, Livermore and San Ramon for a “thoughtful discussion on the key issues shaping our region”.

“It’s a unique opportunity to hear directly from local leadership and to connect with decision-makers and community members from across the Tri-Valley,” according to the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, which is hosting the event.

The summit will be set to begin at 11:30 a.m. with a networking session before the program begins at noon. Visit www.business.pleasanton.org to register.

Then & Now

The Livermore Heritage Guild and the Livermore Public Library will be hosting East Bay Regional Park District supervising naturalist Ashley Grenier next week as she gives a presentation on Morgan Territory Regional Preserve, which is the morning side of Mount Diablo.

According to a press release, Grenier will talk about the regional preserve’s rich history, the Native American communities that first called this land home and the “the remarkable efforts that led to the park’s preservation.”

The presentation, which is free to the public and requires no registration, will take place starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 15) at the Storytime Room of the Civic Center Library in Livermore.
