The Amador Valley Dons and Foothill Falcons varsity boys basketball teams wrapped up their 2014-15 seasons with first-round losses in the North Coast Section Division 1 postseason tournament last week.

Seventh-seeded Amador Valley (15-12) hosted the team from Brentwood’s Heritage High on Feb. 24, but the visiting 10th-seeded Patriots got the better of the hometown Dons en route to a 68-55 victory.

The Heritage Patriots would fall in the quarterfinals to No. 2 seed De La Salle last Friday.

The crosstown Falcons (16-11) were seeded ninth in the tournament and traveled to Castro Valley High for their opening-round matchup Feb. 24, with the eighth-seeded Trojans winning 63-48.

Castro Valley lost to top-seeded Monte Vista in the quarters.
