The countdown to summer is quickly nearing its end as Pleasanton students end the school year. The celebratory time is likely to be met with traffic jams in city streets.
High school students are being released early from school Friday. Graduation ceremonies will be on each campus football field and the festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. at Foothill and 8 p.m. at Amador Valley. It is wise for those using Foothill and Santa Rita roads around this time to take an alternate route.
Families and friends attending the graduations should also be advised to arrive early. The school district encourages students to walk or be dropped off, and have guests walk or carpool to the school sites.
