Las Positas College students, employees and the greater community can partake in a free food distribution program on campus this week.

Starting this Tuesday (Feb. 16), The Market will distribute free, pre-bagged groceries in front of Building 1600 on a first-come, first-served basis every third Tuesday of the month from noon to 3 p.m., until food runs out.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, items will be provided through a new drive-thru format. Those capable of opening their vehicle trunk automatically will receive hands-free delivery service to the trunk by LPC student government officers, and campus staff and volunteers.

Those arriving via walk-up, public transportation or unable to automatically open their trunk will be directed to a specified area to receive their items. All patrons must wear a face mask while picking up their items.

The Market will be open every third Tuesday of the month from noon to 3 p.m., at the LPC campus in Livermore, 3000 Campus Hill Drive, Building 1600 in parking lot C.
