E-40 headlining fair concerts again

For the second summer in a row, Bay Area rap legend E-40 is set to headline the Big O Tires Concert Series at the Alameda County Fair, officials revealed this week.

E-40’s concert on June 20 was among several acts tease-released by fair officials on Wednesday morning, with plans to announce the full lineup in installments over the next two months.

The fair in Pleasanton is also set to welcome singer-songwriter and Country Music Award winner Hunter Hayes on July 5. High-energy cover party band Fast Times, whose setlist runs the gamut from pop hits to rock classics, will follow on the fairgrounds stage on July 6.

Tickets for announced acts will go on sale for season pass holders on March 13 and open to the general public on March 15. Fair admission must be bought separately as it is no longer included with a concert ticket. The 2024 county fair is set to run between June 14 and July 7 in Pleasanton. Visit alamedacountyfair.com.

We are looking forward to adding another cohort to our Pillars of Pleasanton awardees,” PPIE Executive Director Andrea Wilson said.

The event March 12 at the Firehouse Arts Center will include a breakfast reception from 7:45-8:15 a.m., followed by the presentation program from 8:15-9:30 a.m.
