Foothill High cheer squad wows crowd at bowl game

Foothill’s cheer squad members were in the spotlight when they performed during halftime at the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 30 which is known to have one of the biggest halftime extravaganzas of the year. The team worked with choreographer Cris Judd and performed with 300 other cheerleaders/dancers and 1,800 marching band members from all over the country. The squad also had the special honor of being highlighted in the show because of the team’s advanced tumbling and stunting skills.

During the game the girls sat in the first three rows on the 30-yard line right in front of the University of Oregon cheerleaders. They also had the privilege of marching in the nationally televised Big Balloon Parade on Dec. 29. To help pay for the trip, the girls raised over $14,000.
