The Amador Valley boys’ soccer program saw wins for all three levels last week.
The varsity got an early goal from Jonas Lyions off an assist from Matthew Sun, then the Amador defense made the goal stand up as the team earned the 1-0 win against Arroyo.
In the junior varsity game, the Dons rolled to a 5-0 win over Arroyo. The goals were scored by Kingston Smith, Nico Rodriguez and Sawyer Willis split the goals. Smith, Oliver Heid and Sean Kim each contributed an assist. Kim was recognized as the Player of the Match for his outstanding play.
The freshmen team came through with a 1-0 win over Northgate to move to 2-0 in the season. Yabin Dons scored the lone goal, converting a breakaway for the Dons.
Foothill boys’ soccer
The Falcons had two wins and a tie last week.
The week ended with a 3-0 win over Tracy, with Jack Leone, Ashrith Gandluru, and Kevin Tippit scoring the goals.
The Falcons started the week with a 2-2 draw with West, with Foothill getting goals from Adnan Rousta and Atlas Kading.
In the middle game of the week, Foothill beat Kimball 4-1. Tippit scored twice with Rousta and Gandluru getting one goal each.
Amador boys’ basketball
The Dons got a 73-28 win over Mt. Eden last week.

Results reporting needed!
As we get into the Christmas break, we are still lacking in results from all our winter teams.
Before we get into what we need, props go out to Amador boys’ basketball and soccer, and Foothill boys’ soccer.
There is a group of parents working together to get me all three levels of Amador boys’ soccer. They put together the results for the week, send them to me and have attached pictures.
Amador boys’ basketball has been taking advantage of how easy it is to turn in results. The Dons’ scorekeeper takes pictures of the scorebook, then texts the results to me. Thank you, Brandon Pace!
I have run these before but will run them back again this week to help the remaining teams get me the results each week.
Basketball: As mentioned above, as easy as it gets. The game ends, you take a picture of the scorebook and send it to me. All I need is the final score and who you played, which is usually at the top of the scorebook sheet. Over the years I have had parent volunteers, as well as the team scorekeepers fill this role. Honestly it takes less than five minutes following a game to get me the information.
Soccer: Not too hard as well. Just send me the final score, who you played, and who scored goals or had assists. Other highlights from the game are fine as well.
Wrestling: If it is a tournament, send me who won medals, what their record for the tournament was, and if possible, a link to the tournament results page.
Pictures are always appreciated! Just include who is in the picture and the name of the person that took the picture.
My only favor I ask is to send the results win or lose. Please don’t be the type of parent that only responds when the team wins. It’s a bad look and takes away from the efforts the athletes put in every day.
