At Ruby Hill Country Club Wednesday March 22, senior captain Mike Ortega led the golfers with a round of 38 against visitors from Acalanes and helped the team bring the Dons home with a 206 to their lowest 9 hole score of the year. The Dons battled Livermore the following day on Livermore’s home course at Wente Golf Course, adding to a tour that has included Sequoia Country Club, Discovery Bay, Lone Tree Golf Course, Ruby Hill Country Club and Wente Vineyards. The boys have been consistently shooting in the high 30’s to mid 40’s so far this season, allowing them to move into second place in league after their game Thursday March 16 against Livermore, at the beautiful Wente Golf Course. Freshman Kurt vonTrapp medaled with a 41 in his first league start. The boys have also played another league round against Granada.
