A new route coming to the Livermore area will take its passengers through a journey of fine wine and dining. The trolley includes a visit to three local wineries, all with the views of hills and vineyards that Livermore has to offer.
The Livermore Wine Trolley will be offering its newest experience to guests, the "Taste of the Tri-Valley Food Tour" starting Thursday (Oct. 20), as a way to celebrate the many dining experiences offered in the region.
"There are so many great restaurants in the Tri-Valley," Livermore Wine Trolley owner Brian Luke said in a press release. "We want to offer a unique and fun way to try a few of them and have a great time on the Trolley, with wine of course."
"Just like the local restaurants, we're a small local business so partnering and supporting each other is a natural fit," Luke added. "Our guests get to wine and dine for an awesome evening out."
Luke founded Livermore Wine Trolley in 2014. From then on, the service has offered tours for parties, individuals and special holidays via trolley car.
The new Taste of the Tri-Valley Food Tour will last approximately three hours long and include samples of wine and food from three different restaurants. According to the trolley service, food samples will be provided from pre-selected establishments of their most popular dishes.
For the upcoming tour, featured restaurants are Pleasanton's Oasis Wine Lounge and Bottletaps, and Livermore's Terra Mia Italian Restaurant.
The Food Tour is hosted on Thursday nights from 6-9:15 p.m. and will be offered every other month. Passengers are picked up from Stockmen's Park in downtown Livermore and taken through varied routes in the area.
The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce has shown support for the new attraction, encouraging its community-based service. "The chamber is excited to support this new experience showcasing local restaurants," chamber president Dawn Argula said in the same press release
"Residents and visitors alike are sure to enjoy these new food tours," added Argula. "Exploring new dining options, a range of cuisines, and superb Livermore Valley wine while on a fun journey in the Tri-Valley."
In celebration of Halloween, the Wine Trolley will be hosting its yearly "Hallo-Wine Costume Party." Next Saturday (Oct. 29) from 6:30-9:30 p.m., guests will be able to partake in wine tasting, treats and conversation.
