Museum on Main’s 15th annual Wines & Valentines fundraiser will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 11 to include live and silent auctions, a Fund-A-Need drive and games. The benefit will be virtual again due to the pandemic instead of the traditional in-person event at The Club at Castlewood.
“While we will miss being in-person and the unique 2-bit quarter auction this year, we are excited for the unique opportunities a virtual event provides,” Executive Director Jim DeMersman said. “And for those wondering what to do with their quarters, save them for our 2023 Wines and Valentines.”
The good news, he pointed out, is that the online event allows people to participate from locations outside Pleasanton — and from the comfort of their own homes.
The silent auction is open to anyone who wants to bid and begins at 6 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 1), running until 6:45 p.m. the day of the event.
The live auction will be held during the event, available only to ticketed participants.
Items in both auctions can be previewed in advance by visiting the event page at PayBee, which is also accessible through www.museumonmain.org.
The museum’s Fund-A-Need campaign this year again focuses on supporting children’s educational programs, such as MoM’s Preschool Reading Time, the Junior Volunteer program, school and scout tours, and Family Days. These programs are presented either free or at a low cost to ensure the broadest possible participation from the community.
Museum on Main is partnering with PayBee and Charity Works to produce this virtual event, and Republic Urban Properties and First Republic Bank are its Sweetheart Sponsors.
Tickets for the 2022 Wines & Valentines are $50 per person. For more information, visit www.museumonmain.org or call 925-462-2776. The museum is located at 603 Main St. in downtown Pleasanton.
