Patelco Credit Union is moving its headquarters from Pleasanton to Dublin in early December to house its expanding workforce.
The credit union’s new home — located at 3 Park Place near the Hacienda Crossings Shopping Center — has undergone an extensive remodel since its purchase last year for $55 million, and will accommodate more than 340 employees once open for business.
The new space is 210,000 square feet–more than three times larger than the 62,000 square feet at the company’s present location on Hopyard Road.
“Our laser focus on our mission and commitment to improving our members’ financial health and wellbeing has resulted in us outgrowing our current facility,” said Erin Mendez, president and CEO of Patelco Credit Union, in a statement. “The larger office space is a proud reflection of not only our team’s efforts in serving our members, but the larger space will also help our team members lead balanced lives, thanks to its more convenient access to public transportation, shops, restaurants and additional outdoor space.”
The new site is only 1.5 miles from Patelco’s current headquarters in Pleasanton but is closer to public transit, including the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station, and a number of restaurants and retail shopping options. It also has a gym and outdoor facilities, and plenty of room for the company to grow in the future.
“On behalf of the city of Dublin, we are thrilled to officially welcome Patelco to the community,” said Dublin Mayor David Haubert in a statement. “Patelco and the citizens of Dublin share a deep sense of commitment for community building and helping others, and we are excited to help Patelco and its team members feel at home in Dublin.”
An open house event will be hosted for the community in January, after the move is finished.
