San Ramon Regional, John Muir to start work on new health center in Pleasanton today

Pleasanton Outpatient Center will offer wide range of medical services at Owens Drive location

San Ramon Regional Medical Center and John Muir Health will hold a ceremony at noon today to mark the start of major renovations of a building at 5860 Owens Drive in Pleasanton where their new jointly-operated Pleasanton Outpatient Center will be located.

The center is expected to open in later this year.

Development of the outpatient center is part of a partnership between Tenet Healthcare, parent company of the San Ramon center, and John Muir.

The new Pleasanton Outpatient Center will expand care, access, and services for patients in the Tri-Valley area and surrounding communities.

It will offer a range of services under one roof, including primary care and specialty physicians. An Urgent Care Center, lab, pharmacy, education/conference facilities and an imaging center with MRI and CT scan services also will be part of the new center.
