Think you have a perfect palate for fine food and wine? Join a master sommelier and wine writers in tasting the Tri-Valley’s finest at the Taste of Terroir.

The event, from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Palm Event Center, 1184 Vineyard Ave., will bring 16 of the region’s wineries and their restaurant partners together in a competition to win Most Innovative Pairing, Best Expression of Local Ingredients and Judges’ Best.

Tickets for Taste of Terroir are $75, and the event typically sells out. Proceeds will benefit the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association. For tickets and information, visit www.lvwine.org.
