Piyajit Gassner visited former Pleasanton resident Frankie Brooks, who now lives in France, at the end of a European vacation last summer. “The Aug. 29, 2025 issue with the Take Us Along photo of Frankie and my neighbor came out just 5 days before I left for my trip to Italy,” Gassner told the Weekly. “I had planned to visit her in Chamonix at the end of my two-week trip, so I brought the copy along.”
