Pleasanton residents Tony Battilega and Paul David recently took a 12-day trek through the Himalayas to the Mount Everest Base Camp. On day eight, the two men reached their destination at 18,000 feet. In total, the friends covered nearly 100 miles and 30,000 vertical feet.
