Highway 84 work
Caltrans is temporarily implementing a one-way traffic control on Highway 84 in Sunol near the Rosewarnes Undercrossing and Niles Canyon Railway Brightside Yard over the next four weeks in order to install and connect specially designed guardrails to a newly constructed bridge on eastbound Highway 84.
Work started as of Wednesday night and will be set to continue until Oct. 24, subject to any weather related delays. The one-way traffic control will be in place 24 hours every day for the duration of the project.
According to the transportation agency, the temporary one-way traffic control will result in longer delays during commute hours.
