Merry Christmas.
I hope and pray you have a wonderful day and experience the season’s joy whether celebrating with family and friends or while working of alone.
For me and my family, we’re celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. My wife and I were blessed to travel to the Holy Land in 2018 and see Bethlehem, the church of the Nativity, the Shepherd’s Field and the empty tomb. When I see the news clips of a crowded Bethlehem, it brings back those treasured memories of walking the land that Jesus walked and the teaching of inspired and informed leaders.
This is not a day for serious news — most of us checked out, other than sports, last weekend and will not re-engage until Jan. 5. I know from experience of 50-plus years in the news business — breaking news only in these two weeks.
My thoughts will return New Year’s Day with a glimpse ahead of what I see coming in 2026. Until then…
