I am a dedicated Independent Educational Consultant that guides college, transfer and graduate and professional school applicants through the complex and competitive world of admissions. I help students choose majors and programs of interest, develop best match school lists, offer personalized essay coaching, and use tested tools and strategies to help students tackle each step of the admissions process with confidence and success. I help students from all backgrounds to maximize scholarship opportunities and financial aid awards. I completed my BS from Hunter College, City University of New York and earned advanced professional degrees at the University of Michigan. After working several years, I went on to earn and a PhD in Behavioral Sciences and Education from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After so many initials after my name, it was not surprising that neighbors, friends and distant relatives sought my advice about their own children’s education and career goals. That led to my earning a Certificate in College Admissions and Career Planning from UC Berkeley and in 2008 I began guiding students full-time. I live with my husband and our energetic German Shepherd, Rocky. My hobbies are baking, biking, swimming, and reading mystery novels.
