Amid this dreary autumn weather, Alameda County Fair officials want to take you to the warmer days of next summer, announcing Friday that The Beach Boys will headline the 2026 Big O Tires Concert Series.

The legendary band – known for hits like “Good Vibrations”, “California Girls”, “Kokomo” and “Surfin’ USA” – will perform on the Pleasanton fairgrounds’ amphitheater stage July 1 at 8 p.m. Founding member Mike Love and longtime bandmate Bruce Johnston, who joined in 1965, are among the current touring lineup.

“The Big O Tires concert series is one of the main attractions every year during the Alameda County Fair,” Kristin LaPorte, marketing director for the fair, said in a press release Friday. “A wide variety of musical acts are being selected so there will be a concert everyone can look forward to this year. We’re especially excited to have The Beach Boys here to help celebrate the 250th anniversary of America along with the Fair.”

The Beach Boys were the first act revealed for next summer’s concert roster. LaPorte indicated that other performers will be announced before general ticket sales open next month.

The county fair is scheduled to run on Wednesdays through Sundays from June 19 to July 12 – and The Beach Boys fit the 2026 theme “Sound of Summer” to a T. For more information, go to annual.alamedacountyfair.com.
