Trumark Homes is celebrating the groundbreaking on the latest housing development in its hometown of San Ramon, with construction now underway on nearly 200 new housing units boasting easy access to the Iron Horse Regional Trail.
The Trails at Bishop Ranch project will consist of 67 single-family houses and 128 townhomes in the northwestern portion of the rapidly redeveloping San Ramon neighborhood that previously served as a sprawling office hub – and “just steps from company headquarters” at 3001 Bishop Drive.
“The connectivity and tranquility that Bishop Ranch offers are appealing advantages for those working in the area, and we anticipate high demand from prospective homebuyers seeking those same qualities where they call home,” said Tony Bosowski, Northern California Division President at Trumark Homes in a press release last week.
“Perhaps the most alluring element of The Trails is its location along the Iron Horse Regional Trail, offering unparalleled access from your front door to a host of pathways, recreational activities and destinations,” he continued.
Developers and city officials have been seeking to leverage the trail as an option for commuters as the neighborhood’s redevelopment from office space to a planned residential and retail hub, with Trumark officials pointing to the company’s latest project as a key to bringing that vision to life.
“With its Tri-Valley location directly bordering the 32-mile Iron Horse Regional Trail, residents at The Trails can walk, bike and easily connect to City Center, nearby workplaces and public transportation options,” Trumark officials said Aug. 26.
The Trails is not Trumark’s first local project, with its Deerwood Heights project in San Ramon and The Orchard project across the city limits in Danville now on sale, as well as the Francis Ranch project in Dublin and the Arroyo Crossings project in Livermore.
The latest project and its prime location for Trumark serve as an example of what the company wants to do more of, according to Bosowski.
“The Trails in Bishop Ranch represents an incredible opportunity for those seeking to live in one of the most vibrant and highly anticipated new communities in the East Bay,” Bosowski said. “We will continue to pursue land deals that offer this compelling combination of location, connectivity and community to meet the housing demand across Northern California.”
Earlier in August, the company announced the appointment of Marcus Murphy as president of its affiliated mortgage brokerage program Icon Lending.
“Marcus has spent more than two decades in homebuilder financial services and has both a passion for and track record of building high-performing teams to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction,” said Steve Kalmbach, chief operating officer of Trumark Homes in an Aug. 19 press release.
The mortgage brokerage affiliate is aimed at “making homeownership more attainable and affordable” for those buying the newly constructed homes in Trumark’s growing portfolio according to Kalmbach.
“Joining the Icon Lending team is an exciting opportunity and a natural extension of the experience I have gained throughout my career,” Murphy said Aug. 19. “I look forward to providing strategic leadership with a focus on people development and operational excellence, as we remain committed to delivering outstanding customer experiences for each and every homebuyer.”
Pricing and other details for The Trails is set to be made available ahead of the sales launch planned for next fall.
