An informative explainer aimed at raising awareness about one of the most deadly public health crises in recent history, the video breaks down the opioid crisis, explaining how a second wave of overdoses intensified when fentanyl began being mixed into the drug supply. Why fentanyl is so dangerous is explained, how it is significantly more potent than other opioids and is often unknowingly consumed.
This video was produced as part of a program to educate youth and others about Alameda County’s opioid crisis, prevention and treatment options. The program is funded by the Alameda County Behavioral Health Department and the grant is administered by Three Valleys Community Foundation.
