Two sisters from Russia who visited Pleasanton last year in hopes of finding a permanent family still are looking for an adoptive home. Daria (Dasha), 7, is described as “the quiet one,” according to Kidsave spokesperson Debbie Hoeven. “She can read and write in cursive. She loves to play ball and also loves to help with the cooking. She is a bit of a tomboy–one can see her loving any sport and giving it her all! Dasha is more reserved than Anastasia (Nastya). She likes to watch before she decides to participate.

Anastasia, 6, is, Hoeven reports, “a ‘girlie’ girl. She loves to have barrettes in her hair. Her favorite things are purses–she is very drawn to them. She loves baby dolls, and can play with her dolls all day. She also likes to color. She loves everyone, and is very affectionate. Nastya loves to talk. Even if you can’t understand her, she will ramble on as though you do. She is very active and very funny.”

Anyone interested in adopting both sisters (they will not be separated) can contact Kidsave by calling Hoeven at (707) 748-7860, or e-mail her at dh256@comcast.net. An informational meeting on children available for adoption through Kidsave will take place in Pleasanton from 7-9 p.m. Wed. April 5 at the library, 400 Old Bernal Road.
