Caltrans is set to temporarily close exit 21B from northbound I-680 to eastbound SR-84 during weeknights from today (Jan. 7) through Friday ( Jan. 10) to work on the overpass.
The full closures are scheduled to take effect each evening at midnight and last until 7 a.m., with construction expected to be completed by Friday morning, weather permitting, according to an announcement from the transportation agency.
Motorists must use alternate routes and detour signs will be in place.
The nightly closures allow for safe and efficient construction, which Caltrans says will enhance traffic flow and safety in the area.
“Be Work Zone Alert and expect travel delays,” Caltrans reminded motorists in a statement.
