No one was hurt when a small plane crashed Friday morning in a rural area southwest of Tracy, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.
The plane went down near Tarraville Creek and Mines roads, close to the borders of Alameda and Santa Clara counties.
Only one person was in the plane at the time and that person escaped injury, according to San Joaquin County sheriff’s spokesperson Heather Brent.
Brent said the National Transportation Safety Board is now investigating.
NTSB officials didn’t immediately respond to a request for information.
