No Senate budget - 'deliberate and determined policy by the Democratic leadership'

Original post made by jimf01, another community, on Apr 19, 2012

This video from The GOP Budget group tells the basic story. We are approaching 1,100 days since the US Senate, led by Democrat Harry Reid, has approved a federal budget.

Web Link

Startling fact: Since 2009, not one single Democrat member of the Senate has voted "yes" on any budget, including Pres Obama's or their own.

If this is not their most basic duty, then what is? This is naked partisanship, avoiding the real work that needs to be done to set the economy on a stable track, simply for the purpose of political expediency.

Remember in November. The next time you hear a Democrat call the Republicans the party of no, ask who are the real obstructionists?

The real work, shown in a twitter photo: Web Link is to show up at meetings, negotiate, offer amendments, all that boring stuff you can usually watch on CSPAN.

The Democratic budget committee chairman just came out and said they will not vote, not until after the November election. Web Link

Democrats and Republicans in the US House can agree on a budget vote, they just recently voted 414-0 to reject President Obama's 2013 budget proposal.

Remember this? Web Link The Presidential Commission "charged with identifying policies to improve the fiscal situation in the medium term and to achieve fiscal sustainability over the long run. Specifically, the Commission shall propose recommendations designed to balance the budget, excluding interest payments on the debt, by 2015" What was that? Obviously, a simple delaying tactic. Punting on making actual decisions.

Why is the media so apathetic on this issue? Why is Harry Reid allowed to shirk his constitutional duties? Maybe you want to know who these Senators are, here is the Dem budget committee Web Link

Give it a rest, Jimbo. We have many months yet leading up to election day. You will have plenty of time to throw mud on your favorite target, the Democrats. Pace yourself a bit. At least give us some peace through the summer months, please.

Ah, my good neighbor, a right-wing troll's work is never done! I live outside the region, but my lifes' work is to elluminate the masses. Fear not, I will resque us from a statist Stalinism that taxes cigerette smokers just like Hitler made everybody wear red stars on their lappels.

A Neighbor - I am stunned and a bit saddened, I do not usually see ignorance (or maybe it's feigned ignorance) from you. Do you not know when the next election is?

jim, if you really believe the Republicans are willing to cooperate, then I have a bridge to sell you.

Even my far-right bother is disgusted with the Republican leadership. At least he's fair, first he criticizes the Democrats and but since Bush II he consistently finishes with "those Republicans..."

hmmm - well if it is a game, and we agree that one or both sides will not play fair, I believe that in this case we can see that at least one team took the field. The Democrats aren't even suiting up, much less making an attempt to play.

Unfortunately, the unions and Democrat Party sock puppets control the unpatriotic media that wants to destroy this county:

"It's not all in your imagination. Yes, the Sunday talk shows are all about Republicans, week after week. Peter Hart from the watchdog group Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting has the results of eight months of monitoring four Sunday morning talk shows—ABC’s This Week, NBC’s Meet the Press, CBS’s Face the Nation and Fox News Sunday—from June 2011 through February 2012, and a very distinct lean to the right.
Republicans dominated one-on-one interviews, appearing 70 percent of the time—166 Republicans to 70 Democrats. The gender and race imbalance was even more shocking, with men dominating by 86 percent (228 male guests compared to 36 women), and 92 percent of guests were white."

Where are they goiong to find blacks and women or for that matter members of the Democrat Party intelligent enough to be on these shows? So there you have it. It's the liberal bias of the media that turns a blind eye toward Democrats being bad, and I mean really, really bad. We need to get rid of affirmitive action on the teevee.

Hey, Gum, you can't convince jimf01. When your mind is made up, that's it.

And, jim, "The Democrats aren't even suiting up" I would like to suggest that you look at that comment a little closer. From what I have read and viewed, President Obama reached out to the Republican leadership and, in spite of adapting, they still villainized him. It's all about "beating Obama." Right from the day he was elected Sen. Mitch McConnell stated they were out to make him a one-term President.

Sad. Politics over your country.

BTW, you & I must have the same brother... really. My brother, a life long Republican was so angry with Pres. Bush Jr. that he spoke ill of him at a family gathering, which was a stunner. Our family avoids politics due to the great divide going back to the forties. So, when he complained in public I was, to say the least, stunned.

Anyway, bless our mess. I would rather be here than other places.
