The Pleasanton Cultural Arts Foundation (PCAF) is sponsoring “That’s Entertainment: A Gala Benefiting the Firehouse Arts Center.” The evening is being held on May 16, 2009 from 6:00-10:00 pm at the elegant Castlewood Country Club in the Pleasanton foothills and will include dining, live entertainment and visual arts. The gala is designed to prelude offerings the community will enjoy at the new cultural arts venue on Railroad Avenue in downtown Pleasanton, scheduled for completion in early 2010. An exhibit and sale of outstanding art created by local artists plus a live auction, featuring unique items and value-packed get away packages, will round out the agenda and make it a truly memorable event. Tickets are $140 each and must be purchased in advance. Premiere seating is available for reserved tables of 8.
The Firehouse Arts Center, now under construction, will enrich the community with a 240-seat flexible studio theater, 2000 sq. feet of high-quality gallery space, two spacious and well-equipped art classrooms and 1350 sq. feet of grand lobby space. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are still welcomed for this event. For tickets or more information please visit www.pleasantonartsfoundation.org or call 925-846-1007.
What is of interest about this event is that during this period of economic downturn, support has been extremely steady and strong, attesting to the enthusiastic support of the community to complete funding for the new arts center. The event is truly a milestone of the project as the art experiences destined for the center will be shared during the evening with attending guests, giving the long awaited arts center a first breath of life.
Thank you once again for your support.
