Bicyclist suffers major injuries in fall off Pleasanton Ridge trail

A bicyclist riding with his son-in-law suffered major injuries Saturday morning when he fell with his bike off the Thermalito Trail on Pleasanton Ridge

Wow, I hope he's OK. Thanks to all involved: the son in law, the 911 dispatchers, the Fire Department, the paramedics and the helicopter crew. What great people we have here in Pleasanton! And good advice from Joe Testa: wear a helmet and take a map. The maps are easily found at the Parks and Community Services trailer in back of City Hall, and also at the base of the trail at Agustin Bernal Park.

And thanks for the story Jeb, I hope we hear soon that the injured rider is doing better.

The maps I have seen are not very good. They should have better detailed maps available in print and on-line.

If you have an iphone, the compass app gives you your GPS coordinates which pin point your location. Surely there are similar Android apps too so bring your phone with you.
