I feel so bad for the child and family involved. I don't know how they will ever be able to trust another caretaker. It's makes me feel blessed that mine are older and that I'm not faced with having to hire child care for them when these children are not old enough to speak.

This child has a right to whatever care her family decides is appropriate, including psychological and/or psychiatric care, and while I'm not someone that loves to see lawsuits flying around, in this case I support it because they are making sure to preserve their daughter's rights, present and future, when she obviously can't do it herself.

To the family, please know your community supports you. There is no room for this abuse here and we support your desire for justice for your baby girl. Some moron will come on here and say otherwise, but generally it's just an attention seeker looking for a reaction. We are a community of families and children and I can say I am personally thankful to you got coming forward and demanding action. You have saved other children abuse in doing so.

What about the other children that were in the room when this incident happened. Whether it was a joke or harmless in people's eyes, how does this affect the children that witnessed this behavior from an adult?
