I've been hearing around town people being cited for "fix-it" tickets left and right. I'm all for moving violations (speed, running red lights, etc) being ticketed, but what is up with all these fix-it tickets? Is it really necessary to give a ticket for having a cracked brake light or for having one brake light out that likely the person was not even aware of?
Are they under pressure to have high ticket stats? Where is the common sense? The fix-it tickets really do more harm then good in the long run when it comes to losing people who support the police department - especially when people's pay checks aren't looking too hot nowadays.
