A Taste of Summer brings together Hacienda companies for competition, charity

First ever "A Taste of Summer" benefits Hacienda Helping Hands charitable giving campaign through fun BBQ competition. Six teams from Hacienda businesses fired up their grills for the contest.

What a fabulous idea! When I lived in Palo Alto they used to have Chili Cook Offs and huge crowds would gather for that competition. The families of the community and all around would attend. Organizations and people to taste would fill the parks. I am sure it was a big money making event. It would be nice to see that here in Pleasanton. Fees to enter/Chili cooks and entry fees/Tasting could go towards local Non Profit Organizations that need the help right now. It would be an amazing event to have at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds.

It was a lot of fun and will be at the Fair Grounds next year (I think). A big "Thank You" to all involved.
