Thank you to all who attended and all who have supported this team with their time, energy and pocket book. The event was a huge success. Pampered Palate provided appetizers and wine, Filigree Bakery supplied the dessert. The students participated in a short demonstration and we all enjoyed the welcome by James Madison, (looking very much like Tony Mathews later in the evening). Coaches Brian Ladd and Mairi Wohlgemuth have done a wonderful job preparing students for the competition and more importantly for life. Many thanks goes to Ellen Pensky and her group of volunteers for all that they did to make this event a success. Thanks also to my council colleague, Jerry Pentin, for his help and stepping with his Cycling for a Cause, a group of people who have been supporting the Comp Civics program as well as other groups from both Amador and Foothill.

This is a wonderful community. We know this happens often with the various groups around town. Thank you all for your commitment to young people.

You might also have mentioned the yeoman's work by T.E.A. officials and membership, serving as excellent role models, and encouraging a closer look at our Constitution and how it's being abused by our Dear Leader in Wash DC.
