Gavin Newsom report card: What he has done, and what he hasn't

An excise tax on guns, gun parts and ammo to fund violence intervention programs passed the Assembly by a thread and is pending before the Senate. Newsom has been mum."

Ridiculous reasoning. Newsom is somehow considering vetoing this measure because it would raise taxes or violate his previous budget promises? Yeah right. If this passes, he'll sign it. Since when has he opposed any gun control measures?

This so called "criminal justice" measure is laughable. It doesn't address why people abuse firearms, that guns are obtained illegally, criminals will not comply, etc. It just taxes/penalizes law abiding people exercising Constitutional rights and already following strict legal processes in the state to pay for it - because anyone with a gun (regardless of their background) is deemed "collectively guilty" of violence.

CalMatters, a left wing arm of the DNC, is using this very, very, very long article to promote the Governor because they are fearful of Larry Elder. Now, I have felt all along that it is going to be very difficult to remove him, but it is interesting to watch what they did in the Presidential election to remove Trump, they will do in this state election process as well- it’s already happening. But let’s go back to Larry Elder.

Mr. Elder is a Black man of two Black parents (Obama wasn’t) raised in South LA and worked to become successful under difficult circumstances. We have had to be lectured ‘ad nauseam‘ about diversity, equity, inclusiveness, racism, white privilege, and more. So we have a real Black American, who would be the first Black Governor of California and the Left Extremists and Democrats are trying to destroy him. What? Even Black politicians are trying their best to destroy him. Where is the BLM? I would of thought they would be gleeful for the opportunity. But no, the Left wants to retain a a privileged white rich guy, born of money and lifted up by the Getty’s.

It all makes sense, I guess.

I don't think its any surprise that preserving party politics is highest in either parties agenda.

We need to move to a moderate position. I hope this recall forces that result one way or another.

It was the theft of $31 Billion in unemployment funds that were stolen by scammers that made me decide he's got to go.
And now the state is so slow to distribute the eviction moratorium bail-out funds, some people are going bankrupt.
Newsom is some kind of Urban Utopian who doesn't pay attention to the things that really matter.

Recall Newsom is about:

The degradation of the California EDD on his watch, he continues to ignore it.
The rise in murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries, car jackings, home invasions.
Homeless encampments burning down businesses and private residences.
Early release of criminals from jail, his disregard for victims of those criminals.
His dinning at the French Laundry, Hypocrite.
The three million illegal immigrants into California on his watch.
The $23 million taxpayer dollars he provided for illegal immigrants.
The illegal impact on California justice system costing taxpayers $2,703,575,000.
Tax payer welfare costs for illegals at $7,405,103,000.
His refusal to share criminal information and criminal releases with the Feds.
The list is endless!

Assuming Newsom is recalled/Elder wins, the state legislature still has Democrat super majorities and "moderates" in that party (if there are any) have little or no voice. I can see city voters continuing to support liberals/progressives - but why do the suburban voters want someone like Bauer-Kahan in office who just tows/votes the left wing party line?

It's called a double standard. Elder is being opposed because Blacks (and other minority candidates) are expected to be left wing. If they are not, then "diversity", "equity". BLM, and "inclusion" stuff suddenly doesn't apply or matter. It only matters to get candidates elected/causes promoted that the political left wants.
