Sometimes those memories are jarred with the unexpected death of a friend. Such was the case last week when I learned of the sudden passing of Mike Rounds, a 1980 graduate of Amador Valley High School.

Dennis,
Great Writing as always! I remember Mike Rounds and That 1980 Group Very Well as we all do when you’re just 1 Grade Before them. You always played Sports With Them and sometimes against them.
Sorry to hear the Passing of Mike Rounds! He was riding his Bike? That’s why I don’t ride a bike anymore. Too many recks as a kid growing up and a few Motorcycle ones as well.

He was definitely a huge part of our amazing class. Prayers to his family and all of his friends. You will be missed. RIP Mike Rounds.

Such a nice tribute, Dennis. Hard to believe it’s been so long and we lived in the “good old days”. So sorry to hear of this tragic accident.

Great story. As a 82 grad I remember the tournament in Paul’s backyard. Fun times And Mike Chandler was my inspiration for growing my hair after playing Amador hoops
