PG&E pleading guilty to 84 counts of manslaughter for Camp Fire, pay $4M fine

PG&E Co. announced early Monday morning that it will plead guilty to 84 counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of unlawfully starting a fire in connection with the 2018 Camp Fire that ravaged Butte County.

PG&E is getting off from causing 84 deaths through their negligence by paying less than $47,000 per person? People are going to jail for negligently causing only one death. I’ll bet $4 million is less than they paid in green fees for golf last year.

Involuntary manslaughter carries a punishment of 2, 3 or 4 years in prison. Why aren’t the people who made these decisions going to prison?

That, and we’ve still got the death penalty in California last I checked. Time to start using the corporate death penalty.

With all the down time I just finished season 3 of Narcos on Netflix

Looks like PG&E has the officials in their back pockets same as the Cali Cartel did with the cops judges and everyone else in the system.
