About congressman Adam Shiff.

He looks a lot like John Mark Karr, the American, while in Bangkok Thailand some years ago, falsely confessed to the Jon Bonet Ramsey murder.

Question. Would you let Schiff or Swalwell babysit your kids? .....that’s what I thought.

Year 2012, Congressman Adam Shiff is quoted as stating "the establishment of a select committee to investigate Benghazi is a "colossal waste of time" and said democratic leaders should not appoint any members stating "I think it's just a tremendous red herring and a waste of tax payer resources".

Congressman Adam SHiff accepted appointment to that committee by Nancy Pelosi. That committee cleared Hillary Clinton of any wrong doing. There were four American life's lost during that event.

The "Impeachment Inquiry" is clearly going bad for Schiff and the Libs. You can tell because the Democrats are now attacking Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, the rockstar Republican from New York, who eviscerated former Ambassador Yavanovitch.

What a joke.

Trump WILL get impeached, solely for the fact that there are more democrats in the house and they cannot win election without it. He will not be convicted in the Senate. There simply is no evidence.

Just how deeply biased is this democratic fiasco?
Congressman Adam Shiffs sister is married to George Soros's son.

@Michael Austin wrote “ Just how deeply biased is this democratic fiasco?

You’re consistently coming up with false and bizarre claims and spouting off on them on these forums. I have no idea why the others here think it is wise to tie their own credibilities to yours.

- - - -
FACT CHECK:
“ Was Adam Schiff’s Sister Married to George Soros’s Son?” Rating: FALSE

“ Rep. Adam Schiff, who authored a rebuttal to Devin Nunes's memo about the Trump-Russia investigation, became the target of conspiracy theories and fake news.”

“ As a war of words heated up between President Trump and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) over the release of a controversial memo attempting to discredit the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election, a rumor popped up on internet forums that Schiff’s sister was married to the son of philanthropist George Soros.”

“Schiff, the ranking minority member of the House Intelligence Committee, wrote a rebuttal to Devin Nunes’s memo alleging that the FBI had improperly obtained a warrant to surveil Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. Soon after, users on forums like 4chan, Above Top Secret and Free Republic began posting the rumor that Schiff was related to Soros by marriage. “

“The rumor then spread to junk news sites. The conspiracy-minded TruthFeed reported that “Twitter is on fire with the revelation that Democratic party mouthpiece Adam Schiff turns out to have ‘family ties’ to none other than George Soros himself” and posted a series of tweets about the alleged connection. The article used a series of images of tweets...”

“A woman named Melissa Robin Schiff did indeed marry Robert Soros, the son of George Soros, in 1992. However, she is NOT Congressman Schiff’s sister. The wedding announcement published in the New York Times in 1992 identified Melissa Schiff’s parents as Marlene and Haskel, who as of September 2017 were in the midst of a messy divorce.”

“Adam Schiff, on the other hand, was born to Sherry and Ed Schiff. The California congressman also has a brother named Daniel. Schiff does NOT have a sister, his spokesperson confirmed to us by email. His spokesperson also told us that he has no family relationship at all to Melissa Schiff.“

Wombat, you need to get your facts straight: George Soros, the Chupacabra, and Adam Schiff are hiding the truth about the "War of the Worlds" invasion in 1938. The lizard people, in collaboration with the U.S. Government, faked Orson Welles' "hoax" in order to cover up the global domination by space liberals. Under top-secret conditions at Area 51, the three groups perfected the first human-hybrid alien overlord in 1947. Does that year sound familiar? Not only was it the year alien mind-control fluoridation was first introduced into our drinking water, but it was also the year that Hillary Clinton was "born"! 1947--and the 1st, 9th, 4th, and 7th letters of the alphabet all occur in...you guessed it--the word "Benghazi"! Benghazi...Bangkok, hmmm... so similar. Maybe TOO similar...? Also Schiff, Karr: both have the same number of syllables and end in double letters! As usual, Michael Austin seems to be the only one here who sees things clearly! Therefore: No collusion! Witch hunt! Very Stable Genius!

I don't know who he looks like but here are some facts about the man...
He ran as a candidate for the Libertarian Party in 1996 and now he's a democrat? From the party of limited government to the party of total government...doesn't make sense.

He's Jewish going after the president who has been a great friend to Israel.

He claims to be a "vegan" but that is practically impossible in this age, unless he's wearing all cotton clothes and shoes made from rubber...no wool or leather allowed. A vegetarian, yes...a "vegan", doubtful.

He graduated from Monte Vista High School and runs marathons. I don't know who he looks like but those are some facts about the man. He's only doing what Pelosi wants him to do while she keeps her hands clean.

Opposition commentary of this caliber may help explain why he's been re-elected with 78% of the vote in 2016 and 2018.

Surprised nobody among the knownothings thought to disparage him for his graduation from both Stanford and Harvard Law. I guess it's more fun to discuss his looks and smear his diet.

Wow, JM. That’s really horrible that Adam Schiff placed his loyalty to this country above any loyalty to another country based on his own ethnicity.

@Wombat: it's even worse than that. Being anti-Netanyahu is not the same as being anti-Israel. It's actually quite consistent: Schiff is anti-corruption, on either side of the Atlantic. (but ... but ... Biden!!! And if not him/them, then ... OBAMA!!!!)

@James Michael wrote “ Schiff's loyalty is to his party, not to his country”

No, James, that’s not what you wrote or implied. You wrote “He's Jewish going after the president who has been a great friend to Israel”, thus implying that, as a Jew, Adam Schiff’s first loyalty should be to his Jewish ethnicity and to the state of Israel over any loyalty to the United States of America. You goofed big-time. Your sentence plays into a long, long history of anti-Semitic sentiments against Jews in which they were suspected of questionable loyalty to their countries because of their Jewish heritage. By suggesting that Adam Schiff should refrain from participating in the impeachment effort against Trump because Trump is “a great friend of Israel” you openly insinuated that Schiff’s Jewish background, not his responsibilities and duties as a US Congressman and US citizen, should be guiding his official actions and behavior as a US Congressman. That’s a pretty ugly thing to say about the loyalty of a US citizen because of his ethnicity.

With your sentence “He's Jewish going after the president who has been a great friend to Israel”, you called into question not just Adam Schiff’s loyalty to this country, but also the loyalties of ALL Jewish-American US citizens to this country.

I wonder if anyone has thought beyond the present. I voted for Hillary but have been enlightened. All of this fighting against the President has made me look beyond the curtain. The President, Senate, House, nor Supreme Court are driving the bus. Big money and the Washington establishment are making the rules but I must say Trump has really exposed them and has changed the rules forever. Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama did nothing of substance they were just filling the chair so to speak. After watching all of this nonsense can you imagine anyone ever truly becoming President again? I can't. The fuse was lit with this sanctuary city/state stuff. Trump has appointed over 150 judges. How many city, counties, and states have declared themselves 2nd amendment sanctuaries? I think its fractured and we should have a peaceful seperation while its still possible.

Russia russia russia. Stormy danials. Obstruction. Collusion now this lie lie lie.
The facts are Hillary the dnc and obama conspired with Steele and the Russians to rig an election. Independent Thinker - good points!

Let me add "The Resistance" to your list.

How can we have a country survive when anybody in our government - elected or not - and any citizen can say they won't follow the law because they don't agree with it? Or don't follow the law because the president they hate supports it?

What ever happened to working to change the laws you don't like or feel are unjust?

Just say "resistance" or "sanctuary", ignore the law and just do what you want?

Tell us about it....

“How rich people like Gordon Sondland buy their way to being US ambassadors” -SF Gate

“ 4. How much does an ambassadorship cost?
.
“...And for those who want to add a fancy title to their resume and have the money, a six or even seven figure price is not too high.”

“For his first inauguration, President Obama put a limit of $50,000 on contributions. President George W. Bush capped his at $250,000.”

“For Trump, the sky was the limit and the floodgates were opened for those who wanted to buy access or influence. More than 250 donors gave $100,000 or more, which amounted to over 90% of the $107 million that was collected for the inaugural festivities.”

“ Under Trump, it’s not just the posts in rich countries and tropical paradises that are for sale. United Nations ambassador Kelly Craft and her husband contributed over $2 million to Trump’s election campaign and inauguration. She also gave generously to over half the Repubican senators on the Foreign Relations Committee that had to approve her nomination.”

I really am concerned with two issues in this whole process

1. It does appear to be a full assault against Trump on any charge, regardless of merit, looking back I think Nancy Pelosi feared this and it seems to be coming to be true.

2. If Trump is guilty based on the accusations, how in the world is Biden not equally in deep (removed)? Are we really supposed to look past that?

I have a feeling Nancy knew this all along and didn’t want to pull this out, out of fear it would expose Biden, hoping the other accusations would be realized. As they haven’t, this is the only thing they have (based on what we know today) to use before the next election cycle.

No matter what, I can’t see Biden moving forward in the election, and he was probably the strongest candidate for the Democrats going in

The deflections and rationalizations on this board are an indictment of our education system.

PP - Nancy waited 'til she had her errant schoolboy in-the-crosshairs/by-the-short-hairs, and now BOOM! He's on the run, pants in flames. Further, let's assume you're right about Biden (you're not, but we're into fantasy here): the Repubs, who don't even need Actual wrongdoing (e.g., Benghazi) to rake others over the coals, had TWO YEARS in the majority to open an investigation. They didn't.

Also, even if Biden, how in heaven's name does that make trump's venality less unlawful? It doesn't.

Finally, even if Biden, how can you possibly consider the misdeeds comparable, much less similar? They are not. Yikes.

and BTW, there's no Biden, anyway.
___

J-a: You also no doubt believed Putin when he said 'he didn't do it.' Case closed, because we ALways believe the KGB assassins and the tellers of 14,000 official lies in three years, over the USA's career diplomats and intelligence officials. So you will believe me when I say the moon landing was faked, because it's made of green cheese, and I'll sell you the GG bridge for a dollar. SAD!

'Tis a gift to be simple, I guess.

Sue,
Unlike you, I can engage in discussion without personal insults. If you’d like to engage, happy to continue, if you’re going to resort to demeaning anyone with an opposing view, we can stop here.

You bring up a good point on Biden’s “guilt” for lack of a better term and the Republicans opportunity to surface over the years, I agree that would seem like an obvious opportunity.

I disagree if true it’s not equally concerning, I don’t trust politicians, any of them, and this whole experience makes me trust them less. But I really think it’s questionable when a VPs son is getting a board position on another countries energy co for something he has no prior experience with, and his dad has direct engagement on that countries aide/investigation into that co. Isn’t the obvious act to recuse oneself from any involvement?

I guess you must be included in that as well Sue? Compare the "impeachment inquiry" processes and procedures used with Bill Clinton in the late 1990s vs. those is use now. The one currently in use favors one side only with Schiff having essential control over everything. He has no credibility. He claimed for years he had "evidence" of Russian collusion.

"Nancy waited 'til she had her errant schoolboy in-the-crosshairs/by-the-short-hairs, and now BOOM! He's on the run, pants in flames."

BOOM! Independent voters aren't buying it and Republicans/Trump are raising record amounts of reelection funding. Nancy has lost control of her party and is doing what the left wing radical wing wants - regardless of what the electorate thinks.
