Power failure cuts news feed to Pleasanton Express Thursday morning

An early morning power failure at an Embarcadero Media site in Pleasanton Thursday morning delayed the posting of some news stories on Pleasanton Express. Those stories were added to the main online site at and also are being posted on Express this morning.

We were out of power for about an hour. Many PG&E trucks in the area.

It's amazing how so many Californians put up with the abominal service by PG&E. The reliability of our power service is on par with 2nd world countries, yet our rates are the highest in the country. It's time to put some heat on the California Legislature and Governor to address this situation.
