Pleasanton-based DSRSD recognized for cost savings

The Dublin San Ramon Services District has received the "Organizational Excellence Award" from the California Association of Sanitation Agencies (CASA).

While I appreciate the cost saving efforts they pale in comparison to the rate increases. I'm just not sure this group deserves any praise.

If people only knew what this group was getting away with they would be challenging this headline: "Pleasanton-based DSRSD recognized for cost savings".

The DSRSD is claiming an award for saving money while providing some of the most generous benefits imaginable. The cost savings award is Public Relations BS. The probem is that nobody is paying attention to the shennagins this group is getting away with at taxpayer expense. Costs have increased at over twice the rate of inflation and even the Pleasanton & Dublin Mayors has complained about the rapidly rising dollar cost.

Not sure why DSRSD is being rewarded for anything. They don't deserve it based on their lousy contracts.
