Councilmember Cook-Kallio, thank you for eloquently articulating how so many of us feel and yet lack the words that truly express the profound gratitude we have for our veterans, their family, and to those now serving our Country. Memorial Day has never been about a BBQ or picnic to our family. It is a somer reminder of the sacrifices made. We are grateful and hope that someday soon, all wars will end forever.
