Looks like the Lins will be appealing. These things are never really over until all options have been exhausted by all parties.

We haven't yet exhausted the option of high-density, affordable housing up there. Sure would solve a big problem facing the citizens of this fine town. We could run Wheels buses up Hearst Drive and build a mega-Safeway at the top, which would make the site more appealing to the housing officials, and undoubtedly alleviate the concerns of residents who were concerned about the extra traffic.

Why a Safeway "b" ? Don't you think a bit much to have 3 Safeways' in Pleasanton? Thank you for your words of wisdom...

Pete, the residents of the neighborhood below are concerned about traffic. I figured if we just put a big strip mall on the top of the hill, there'd be less reason for the residents to need to venture out of this new enclave. The Wheels buses would also help a lot.
