Who is paying....? Obama ?

Original post made by Tango , Vineyard Avenue, on Apr 21, 2011

While I guess it is great that Obama came to Ca., I am wondering who paid for his campaign flights. Here we are in all kinds of budget crisis and we are paying for Air force One to fly Obama to a campaign date. He has 2 more years to go and he is not in Washington DC. taking care of our business. He is treating being President like he is some type of rock star. Get back to DC and get us out of the messes we are in before you start campaigning for another 4 years.

Tango, your satire of the Tea Party caricature is awesome. I had to laugh when I read your post. Funny stuff!

MultiBillionaire kid Mark Zuckerburg hosted the event and set up the questions, which really were not from Facebook outsiders as promised. Many in attendance were wealthy Palo Alto venture capitalists.. After collecting millions thruout the day, then a Wed eve dinner at the Presidio Heights home of SALESFORCE.COM 'CORPORATE' Billionaire, CEO Marc Benioff. Each of the 60 dinner attendees PAID $35,800. PER PERSON. A nice haul from Bay Area corporations ! ! The really rich folks !
After that dinner off to another truly 'star-studded' event with entertainment by Stevie Wonder. Obama's Bay Area elite base turned out and put out for the Obama campaign coffers.

And this is different from ANY past presidents, how? All politicians mix campaigning with normal day-to-day duties. I'm amazed that some here do not think the President is not capable of governing when not physically in DC. Is DC some sort of magic portal where the President can wave his magic wand and repair the damage to the economy foisted on it by banks and large corporations.

Some of the largest growth in the recovering economy is coming from the tech sector including FB, Salesforce, Twitter, and others. These companies are hiring thousands. I think it is a pretty good idea for the President to be meeting and talking with the leaders of these firms

Who said anything about not being a good idea? MY, aren't we defensive ? Why the guilt and defense. Actually, it could point out the REALLY, REALLY rich and powerful are Democrats. And the DEMS congresspeople and MSNBC shouters just trash CORPORATE employers with every breath, display hypocrisy, since CORPORATIONS are DEMS. as well as Repub. In fact they both lobby both. Informed people know that. But the MSNBC shouters know their listeners are gullible and believe the lies that are shouted at them daily and emailed to them daily from So are corporations ??good or bad??
Jobs good or bad? Corparate campaign $$ good?? or bad??? When Dems are at the mike, they grrrrrowl the word 'corporations'. Does it depend on the demographics of each individual audience ?? Tell your inner-city one thing, and silicon valley something else ? What is that called ????? oh yea, hypocirsy ?? yea, that's it ! !

Most of the 6 Sunday morning political shows I watched yesterday, and the 2 on Fri evening, commented that for all the talk, and fundraising, there really wasn't any talk about middle, upper-middle class JOBS. After ignoring jobs for his first year focus on health care, I thought he got the message in NOV about the desperate need for JOBS, JOBS, JOBS. Sure, he does do thing (spend) on 'inner-city' things, but that's a group that didn't work BEFORE the economic crisis.! What about the small manufacturing companies that have folded and put those middle-class manufacturing engineers out of work. Those degreed workers & taxPAYERS need JOBS.
It is truly AMAZING that the country has had 8 - 8.5% UNemployment for a year, but the BAY AREA and CA has been at 12.5%, 12.5% for a long time....... yet, Obama comes in to scoop up MILLIONS from Californian Dem Billionaires, but NO mention of JOBS. Just pure fundraising, nothing about MIDDLE-class taxpayer JOBS ? ? ? ? ? Amazing !

The annual JOB FAIR that was scheduled at Los Positas for April 14 was canceled due to NO EMPLOYER SIGNUPS !! Maybe the $125. was too tight for some operating pretty close to the line.
