Congratulations to the new school board members

Original post made by Sandy Piderit, Mohr Park, on Nov 3, 2010

It was an honor to campaign alongside Jeff Bowser and Joan Laursen, and I trust that they will put kids first in their new role as school board members. I know that we all share a passion for public education.

I learned a lot during the campaign, and it was especially encouraging to meet so many people in Pleasanton who care about the future of our public schools.

Thank you to all my supporters -- I hope you will continue to stay involved in our schools, as I plan to do!

Sandy:

I am so sad you did not win. I voted for you and Laursen, and I hope PUSD will be OK. I wish you had won, and I thank you for taking the time to run. I hope you stay involved in our schools, we need people like you to lobby for what is in the best interest of the kids.

Sandy:
You are a class act! I, too, am sad that you did not win. 5,000 votes is quite an achievement for a grassroots effort. I hope that you will run again. I know that you will continue to volunteer and stay involved in our community and schools.

Sandy,

I am also sorry you did not win. I look forward to seeing you at volunteer activities at our schools. I also have you marked when your daughter graduates to middle school. I has been great getting to know you.

Sandy,

Don't give up. Try again next time. I think you did great with limited funds and on your first attempt.
