Notice how McNerney is not campaigning on his record...but campaigning by bashing his opponent

Original post made by StopMcNerneysDestruction, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Sep 25, 2010

McNerney's not campaigning on his record of voting YES ... for

TARP (rendering generations into massive debt)
OBAMACARE (unconstitutional, massively expensive, will reduce quality immensely)
DISCLOSE ACT (against the 1st Amendment of Free Speech, to eliminate opposition)
FAIRNESS ACT (against the 1st Amendment of Free Speech, to further eliminate opposition media)
CAP AND TRADE (largest tax increase in history...will further destroy jobs)
FINANCE REFORM (which is Orwellian by name because it does the opposite...and will further destroy jobs)

and on and on...

Please understand who McNerney is. He is for MASSIVE Government Control over our lives, for massive expansion of unions, for open borders which will further weaken America.

Thanks Mr. Harmer!

Skirt the issues altogether that you have made a living as legal council for the very Wall Street companies that ripped off American Citizens and brought down our financial sector to the brink of depression.

You contributed greatly at jp morgan as council in billions in bail outs. And you receives bonuses! Hmm?

Be accountable! We don't need Wall Street Lawyers representing our interest.

Wasn't David Harmer the one who got a government TARP bailout? Think I'd rather throw in with McNerney than some bailed out Wall Street guy.

YES! Mr. HARMer was corpoate council for JP Morgan who got BILLIONS of Tarp Bail out funds and HARMER got a BONUS!

TARP came from George Bush! Sarah Palin supported it. Are you saying McNerney is too much like Sarah Palin?

Hmm? Clorox is moving into the empty Washington Mutual mega complex?

What happened to the banking industry and thousands of jobs in Pleasanton?

The banking industry melt down created by corrupt Wall Street Banks and their LEGAL COUNCIL happened and then TARP happened!

Wamu was one of the biggest mortgage asset holders and JP Morgan CHASE
subsidiaries were massive. Both caved and received massive TARP funds on the Tax Payers Dime, causing massive decay in the U.S. Economy!

WHO OTHER THAN Mr. HARMER Esq. was on legal council of BOTH Washington Mutual and JP Morgan. As the taxpayers have been hit HARD and the U.S. economy TANKED, Mr. Harmer walked off with LARGE BONUSES!

The man clearly is not the poster child for Americas best interests let alone Pleasanton's best interests.

Thanks Patriot! Wow!

Katie Couric:

Some top republicans and democrats, may not support this bill if Senator John McCain doesn’t because it may be unpopular and they’re not willing to take the political risk. If it doesn’t pass, what is the alternative?

Gov. Palin:

Th..the alt.. as I say inaction is not an option we have got to shore up our economy. This is crisis moment for America. Really the rest of the world also. Looking to see what the impacts will be if America were to choose not to shore up what has happened on Wall Street because of the…the ultimate adverse effects on Main Street and then how that effects this globalisation that we’re a part of on… in our world. So the rest of the world really is looking at John McCain – the leadership that he’s gonna provide through this and if those provisions in the proposal can be implemented and make this proposal better make it make more sense to taxpayers than again, John McCain is gonna prove his leadership.

But ultimately what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the healthcare reform that is needed to help shore up our economy um helping the… oh – its gotta be all about job creation too – shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So healthcare reform and reducing taxes and reigning in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans and trade we’ve got to see trade as opportunity not as competitive um scary thing but one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today we we’ve got to look at that as more opportunity – all those things under the umbrella of job creation – this bailout is a part of that.

If this truly surprises you OP, then obviously you've been living in a box without tv or internet access for most of your life...

Come on. Seriously. All of these guys are doing it, it's a time-honored tradition in politics. Even our good Founding Fathers engaged in such tactics (I refer you to the 1800 Adams-Jefferson election).

It is our responsibility as voters to decide whether or not to take these accusations at their face value. In this digital age, it is as easy as opening up Google and fact checking (all too easy, in fact; not all websites are equal in their validity. A check on site sponsors is always advisable, just like with any other campaign propaganda!)

All politics are local. We could never have a better Congressman than Jerry McNerney who understands the district and works hard for issues important to us in District 11. Harmer does not even live in the district and can't even vote in the district. Harmer should not even be considered as our rep but I guess he is the best the GOP could carpetbag into our district. We do not need a GOP CEO lawyer hack as our rep.

Chet...I would "luv" to meet you sometime. Then again, we'd best not meet up. Because I'd have a hard time holding back my comments.

No...all politics are NOT (Word removed by Pleasanton Weekly Online staff) (which is a publicly acceptable term given thanks to Obama.) McNerney's leftist votes affect the entire nation...I am sorry to say.

BTW: Your carpetbagger cheap shots on Harmer are such yawners. Yes, he lives a mile from the CD-11 you are saying that if he moved 1.1 miles, he would "learn so much more about this district!!!"

You are so weak.

And on the above CD-11 note, McNerney DOES live inside this district YET HE DOESN"T HIS CONSTITUENTS when he votes 95% with Pelosi...the most extreme leftist chairwoman EVER.

Hey "StopMcNerneysDestruction",

TARP came from a Republican administration. Scroll up and read what Palin said about it.

We have never had a better rep for us in District 11 than Jerry McNerney and will correctly and proudly send him back to Washington to keep working for us in the District. Thank you Jerry McNerney!!

"Never had a better rep..." eh?

Tho we just moved here a couple years ago, I presume there have been representatives who have...

-- had respect for the Declaration of Independence ... contrary to McNerney
-- had respect for the US Constitution ... contrary to McNerney

-- had respect for the rule of law ... contrary to McNerney

-- loved freedom ... contrary to McNerney

-- loved limited government ... contrary to McNerney

-- loved our strong national defense ... contrary to McNerney

This November election is about whether to vote FOR AMERICA or AGAINST IT ... against it by voting for incumbent our resident marxist...Jerry Nancy Pelosi

You sure make a strong case for your party when you troll the boards with the same, sad, baseless rhetoric, don't you?

Harmer....What did he vote for? Do you say trust him?

"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"

Here is a quote from Harmer's site, "In Reagan's time and beyond, both here and throughout the world, that produced unprecedented job growth and prosperity."

Harmer are you suggesting moving to China where a political dictatorship is shaping policy? Or Japan where government controls the price of the Yen to export more and more goods to undercut American jobs?
"In Congress, I will work to cut regulations, not increase them" so that BP could drill off the coast wherever they want with no oversight? Hmmm...wonder how much oil money is flowing into his pockets.

"That thinking, reflected in an explosion of deficit spending, has resulted in a national debt of over $12 trillion." A debt created by a stagnant economy (less tax dollars flowing in) and two wars now going to one.

"In Congress, I will work to balance the budget by controlling federal spending, not by raising taxes ." - Really a junior congressman will spend the first 3 months trying to figure out where the bathroom is and when to sit down....that's if he appears at all.

Because he believes in..."I support limited government and unlimited opportunity." Unlimited opportunity? for?

"Controlling our borders is essential to controlling our budget." "In Congress, I will push for the completion of a border fence along our southern border, and I will fight to provide border patrol personnel the most modern technologies to aid in identifying tunnels and other illegal passageways."

"The neglect of California's water infrastructure has resulted in an economic crisis in our agriculture industry. I support prudent investment in new water storage and updated infrastructure."

Without raising taxes and without government! I guess he'll do this with his own money :-)

"Physicians and surgeons should be free to care for their patients without being second-guessed by lawyers or bossed by bureaucrats."

But remember to find out if it's covered under your policy (who the Physicians and surgeons ask to see if they get paid).

But of course only Harmer and millionaires will be able to afford physicians and surgeons.

Thank you Harmer!

"The current administration seems to consider terrorism a minor nuisance that can be dealt with as a matter of law enforcement or criminal justice." Wow is this what the war in Afghanistan is, "law enforcement".

David's (Harmer) book on education reform was published by the Cato Institute, America's foremost market-oriented public policy organization.

The Cato Institute = Anarchism = Libertarianism (all the same color)

Rule of corporations with no standing army and the only recourse to justice is through the courts (=government suits and more and more lawyers, ie legal suits) but corporations are incorporated to protect themselves from legal suits = Enron (remember the folks that lost their pensions standing on-line outside of Enron, pure Libertarianism).

= David Harmer, "In it for himself".

Thanks stop - If I have a chance to vote for a Congressman who will defend Reagan's record, cut regulation, cut spending, secure the borders, provide water to CA farms, take government out of my Dr's health care decisions, and make sure our armed forces are in a war to fight and win if they are going to be in a war, I will support that person every time.

Right now we have Jerry McNerney, who, in reverse order, supports a timetable to withdraw from Afghanistan, supported Obamacare and massive new regulation and taxation to 'fix' healthcare, hasn't lifted a finger to support more water for farmers in his district (because it would anger the ecofreaks who are his base), supports amnesty for illegals, and of course, supports higher taxes, increased government spending, and supports more regulation on US businesses to force them to only do business in the US instead of creating a friendly business limate which would attract new investment in this country.

The contrast between the two STOP'ers is clear enough, and the choice in November is perfectly clear.

Yes the choice is clear! A guy who is interested in one thing himself (=Harmer) or a guy who is connected and works for his constituents, McNerney. You choose.

McNerney has shown that he votes for the interests of local residents.

Harmer has promised anything to get into office but that is easy.

Harmer worked for the Cato Institute, an intellectual think tank that spends it's time trying to convince us to remove all federal regulations from Wall Street....we know where that has led us.

Well, why would Harmer need to send out mailers when he has his fan club trolling the boards for him?

Sorry, but further commenting on this topic has been closed.
