"The Tea Party Will Save America" (powerful audioclip)

Original post made by BD, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Sep 2, 2010

I found this 13-minute audioclip by Mark Levin (author, Constitutional Attorney) very powerful.

The Republicans are threatening to shut down the government if they manage to take back Congress in the November election. Hooray! It's the 1990s all over again, but this time in the middle of a slow-growth jobless economy. Really smart, Republicans.

Oh, and all of those older tea party members who can't wait for the Republicans to take over? They're totally screwed.

The first, and most immediate effect of a shutdown is furloughs -- hundreds of thousands of workers sent home without pay. That has ripple effects across the country.
Shalala ran down the list of functions that would be stopped.

"Social Security checks, Medicare reimbursements...welfare checks to the state, Medicaid checks to the state."

If the government shuts down, the Republicans will have created hundreds of thousands of newly unemployed people.

And, more importantly for the old tea partiers, no Social Security and no Medicare payments for you. But at least they were able to stop that evil black guy in the White House. That's got to be worth the price of a few Social Security checks, no? Who needs to pay the rent or buy food anyway? Loud noises and all that.

Vote wisely, old people.

Excuse me, Wendy, if you love this country as I do, then I submit that you have been woefully misinformed. If you do not like America, then your comments above make more sense.

This November election is the most important election we will likely have in our lifetime.

If the Congressional Democrats are not removed from office, it is likely that the damage to America ... including moving closer and closer to a Communist state...may be irreversable.

PS...did you know there are nearly 70 socialists in governmental offices?

DSA lists members of the 111th session

In October 2009, the Democratic Socialists of America released in its newsletter a list of 70 sitting members of the U.S. Congress who were also members of their organization at that time. It is doubtful that any of these ladies and gentlemen actually ran publicly as Social Democrats, but there are links imbedded in this article that will verify that the DSA at least considers these people to be of their organization's extreme left persuasion. The people who voted for them, AND everyone who dislikes the notion of Socialism creeping any further into the Federal system needs to take note.

I've highlighted the ones from my and your states, and a few others that should be especially irksome. And, My God... Obama's Illinois, with six, falls not that far behind Cali with their 10-pack of commies.

"If you do not like America, then your comments above make more sense." So, if Wendy does not agree with you, she is a "commie"?

"...the DSA at least considers these people to be of their organization's extreme left persuasion." So, they are NOT actually members then, are they?

Enough fear mongering and fanning the flames of paranoia here, BD.

I submit that if she supports the Obama/mcnerney agenda, then those values and policies she supports are, yes, aligned more closely with non-capitalist, much less free societies like this of socialist and communist countries. Hard to believe thi could happen America...but it is.

Well Bd, since you brought up Mr. McNerny, I saw the interview between McNerny and Harmer. I was stunned at how sleazy Harmer is.

What are you people thinking when you support a lawyer and a sleaze-ball. Don't believe me? Watch the video.

BTW, I have voted for candidates from both major parties. I look at the person not the rhetoric put out by the campaigns.

Those are elected offices. Voters are given the ability to elect whom they think will represent their interests in this country.

Harmer is a perfect name for a GOPer. Harmer can't even vote in our district. He should never be considered as our rep. We can't be fooled again by the GOP

What kind of underwear is Harmer wearing?
