Bathroom remodel - plumber recommendation

Original post made by Pleasanton parent, Pleasanton Meadows, on Aug 8, 2010

I'm re-modeling my bathroom and would like a recommendation for plumbing service. The scope of the work I'm interested in quoting (itemized) is;
- shower riser rework (currently copper plumbing but the diverter design is out dated)
- tankless water heater installation (replace tank)
- water softener installation (new addition$

I tried Valley Plumbing, downtown, because I like to patronize downtown businesses. Good work but WAAAAAY too expensive. Next time I have to consider the price. (I was later quoted less than half for the same job).

Came back from a trip yesterday, turned on the kitchen faucet only to find that no water was coming out and water pouring out in the cabinet below.

Wife calls up Diablo Valley plumbing as they had fixed a few issues before and we were pleased with their service and professionalism.

Turns out that a hose had disconnected and within 1 minute (yes, literally ONE MINUTE), we were $124 lite in our bank account.

I'm all for paying fair market and such but this was, shall I say, excessive.

You decide on whether you want to use them for any remodeling.

A friend of mine used Dan at Double D builders to redo her bathroom and it came out great. You can always call and find out how much it will cost for what you are doing. I believe their pricing was reasonable too. His # is 510-612-7005
