The above website,, is incorrect and takes you to a commercial site. For the REAL census site, see
Web Link

Please also note that each household needs to fill out the census and send it back. Not just congressional districts are determined by the census, but many governmental programs are funded and directed by census data. Federal, state, county, and city programs are all directly affected by the data taken from the census. Schools, senior services, hospitals and clinics--almost everything is touched by data gathered by the census. Government grants, research funding, and much more are a result of the census.

If you do not fill out and return the census form, you are doing youself and the community a disservice. Please do not try to "hide" from the government by not cooperating. Respondents are required by law to fill out the form to the best of their ability.

And to the person who decided to forward her census to me (I have my own to fill out, thank you) to avoid the census, please read the important information on the census website and call the Telephone Questionnaire Assistance Center at 1-866-872-6868.

Thanks for the catch, I'll fix the link in the story. The link works, just not .com.

I live in the Archstone Hacienda Apartments community. As of 4/1/2010 I still have not received my 2010 Census form. Who can I contact to have one sent to me. I haven't checked with my neighbors yet, but did they miss this entire apartment complex?

Check out the web link in PW Reader's post above. There's a link in the section titled "Didn't receive a form?" that gives you a toll free number to call if you haven't received your form by April 12th.
