FYI : Help Defeat Health Care Bill

Original post made by Ana, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Dec 18, 2009

The U.S. Senate, under the cloistered actions of Harry Reid, will be attempting to ramrod through a 2000+ page healthcare bill as early as tomorrow night. I know many of you think that this is "politics as usual" and you can ignore it. You can't...

How is it that Harry Reid will attempt to pass a bill that 61% of the American people have indicated (through multiple polls) that they do not want? Simple...because they believe that once it is passed everyone will quiet down, just as before and they will get "credit" for getting what they have wanted for over 70 years. The truth is, this legislation does NOTHING to improve healthcare, it only adds more government control, reduces choice and increases cost on existing policy holders.

You can make a difference! Please take 15 minutes and write to the following Senators that you will actively seek their defeat in the next election:

Senator Blanche Lincoln
Web Link

Senator Ben Nelson
Web Link

Senator Olympia Snow
Web Link

Senator Mary Landrie
Web Link

It matters not that you are a California resident. Your money and time is portable to other states.

Below is the message I sent to Senator Blanche Lincoln. I hope that you all take the little time necessary to bring these politicians back in line with the will of the people! We are in the final stretch. PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL!

Best regards,

Yes, we should defeat this bill and go with the republican alternat---oh wait, there is not republican alternative...hmm...interestingly enough, the popularity of this bill has declined as the senate has stripped out many of the features progressives pushed for, like the public option, which you find most objectionable. So it seems if your reason for dumping this bill is because it's now unpopular, maybe we should reintroduce the public option in the bill and pass it. Otherwise your post is disingenuous at best.

It's amazing that the democrates in the Obama administration are doing the exact same thing the republicans did before - ignore those who objected their ideas. Ram it through!

My question is what is the difference between Obama and Bush? Neither is good for the country! For those who voted for Obama, we now have to pay for the people whose goal in life is enjoy life at public expense. This is the country you have voted for! Enjoy!

disingenuous is the smarmy poster who sounds like PB, saying to reintroduce the public option.
PB, you and the rest of the leftys want single payer, and you want it now.
This all a bunch of horse trading going on in the Congress. Whatever chopped up mess Harry Reid pulls out of his WAZOO today, it puts the US on the path to single payer, so next time you are at the DMV or post office, just imagine you are at the doctors office. It will all start looking quite similar soon enough, because it will all be run by the same bunch of clowns, namely bureaucrats and clueless politicians in DC.

on Dec 19, 2009 at 10:18 am are clearly ignorant of the process by which bills are brought to the floor. In case you hadn't noticed, the Democrats have a majority and they are the ones who determine which bills can be voted on. They have rejected ALL bills by the Republicans...and YES...the Republicans have submitted bills which call for tort reform, insurance to be marketed and sold across state lines, and other wise provisions. Yet these have been summarily rejected by the democrat marxist regime.

This is how it works, huh! Lieberman holds out for his piece of the pie. Nelson now got his piece of the pie. The rest of the dumb democrates are like sheep following the shephard to the cliff of oblivion! Those democrates (donkeys... jacka$$'$) should hold out also! They forgot to get their piece of the pie! Reid is like the big pimp doughing out crack! Wow! This is our democracy! Yes, they control congress - both houses! Let's see how they will hold it after 2010!

What's hilarious is the fact that the final version of the bill isn't out yet. Only a chosen few actually know what the final bill will look like, and then the members of the Senate will only have a very short time to read and decipher the 2000 pages...

Politicians are too funny - and dangerous...:)

I am sure our legal system will allow our tax paying citizens challenge this unjust bill in the courts! Our law makers must be spending too much time away home!
