Santa Rita Road to close June 17-18 as Union Pacific installs new tracks at busy crossing

The Union Pacific Railroad will close its busy crossing at Pleasanton's downtown Santa Rita Road for two days June 17-18 to install new tracks and make other major improvements.

The plan is to have the road opened by 5:00 PM on Tuesday evening, however, the closure may extend beyond the 5:00 PM opening if Union Pacific experiences delays in their repair.

Let's just hope that CalTrans is not working on this project. Otherwise it will be shut down for years and have safety issues.
