Valley Humane Society 2013 Calendar Contest

Make your pet a star with the VHS Calendar Contest! Submit your furry friend's favorite photo for a shot at one of 13 spots in our 2013 calendar. All companion animals are welcome: dogs, cats, birds, pigs, reptlies, etc.

Fifty (50) photos will be selected by an impartial panel to enter the public voting phase. The top 12 vote earners will be featured in the pages of the 2013 calendar. In addition, judges will select one grand prize winner from among the 50 finalists to grace the cover.

All entrants will be entered to win a $75 gift card to Pet Food Express.


Entry fee is $15 per photo.
Email your submission along with your first name, last name, and pet's name to Melissa Bonnel ( by Sunday, July 8.
Pay your entry fee online or in person at VHS.
Please note: Pictures including people and pictures taken on cell phones will not be accepted.


Online public voting for the Fifty (50) Finalist photos will begin at midnight on Tuesday, July 17 and end at midnight on Tuesday, July 31. Each of the top 12 vote earners will automatically win a space in the 2013 calendar. One grand prize winner will be selected for the calendar cover from among all 50 finalists by an impartial panel of judges.


Winners will be announced Friday, August 3 at Winners will be notified by email and asked to submit a short essay about their pet (materials may be edited by VHS for length and or quality). All 13 winners receive a complimentary copy of the calendar.

All proceeds help the animals and every entry has a chance to win.
