I play at Callippe 2 to 3 times a week. I love this golf course, however I must admit conditions of the greens have been deplorable lately. The greens are being overtaken by Poana grass and are so bumpy, putts just don't stay online. The greens have always been an issue at Callippe, and the maintenance folks have busted their behind trying to improve them over the last few years.

I am hoping with little rain and some TLC greens will bounce back. The putting surfaces vary throughout the year in smoothness. Let's hope the quality of the greens improve.

This is a great course, however the conditions are pretty bad. The greens are very bumpy., and lots of ballmarks. The other problem is the sand traps. There is way too much sand in the traps. Almost every shot will plug a bit, even if it rolls in. There are better conditioned courses for the money.

I agree with the above comments. The greens are in terrible condition.

Played there today, and I must admit that the condition of the greens have improved greatly.

And as "Craig" has pointed out, the bunkers have way too much sand...

I'm back to playing at Callippe
