Illegal Immigration

Illegal Immigration by Cindy Cross
A huge drug smuggling ring in Arizona was broken up by Arizona police with over 76 people arrested. The bust netted over $2 billion worth of drugs which included marijuana, cocaine and heroin.
The bust leading up to the arrests, named Operation Pipeline Express, was from Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel. The cartel used trucks and people with backpacks to travel through though the desert at night.
Virginia Kice, a spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said, “The smugglers succeeded at first because they had established control over an 80-mile stretch of the border from Yuma to Sells, Arizona. They had gained a virtual monopoly over a swath of the Arizona border.”
Eighty miles is a large expanse. From Pleasanton to Hollister is over 70 miles away. Imagine this huge area unchecked by any border patrol? For Mexican drug runners using this as their personal drug highway.
Many believe building a fence along the border with Mexico would quell such blatant drug trafficking. A nationwide poll done by the Rasmussen Report found that 68% of Americans polled agree that a fence should be built along the Mexican border.
A group of militia from Arizona, tired of the ineffective border patrol, has set up their own surveillance of the border where they apprehend and contact border patrol to make the arrest of those they find crossing the border illegally.
What are the options? A fence that would costs millions? Or an increase in border patrol agents? Either way, someone will complain.
The Obama administration seems to be doing little or nothing to address this issue.

I wouldn't be surprised if every Plutonian neighborhood is involved in purchasing illegal drugs from the Americas.

No free flow of drugs is gonna increase the price of what's already here.

Have US officials ever considered deporting all the addicts in the US back to where their ancestors came from?

Where would they all fit in? Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America...etc. etc. etc...oh my goodness!

Then, more desirable folks could pop in and take over the vacancies left by the addicts...just another one of my cool solutions to "illegal immigration"!

Drug smuggling from Mexico has been news since the 80s, when Obama was a young pup just out of high school; but I get your point about his being responsible for not solving a problem that the last five presidents failed to put much of a dent in either.

Wow ! Arizona law enforment ! Great job! I wonder at what point they had it scoped out. Feds usually don't like to share the glory.
I wonder where all the guns are that our 'Fast and Furious' justice dept. took into Mexico ? ? unbelievable. I hope they weren't used on any of our guys.

BTW Mike, the five presidential teams you reference never sent arms across the border into Mexico ! That gives new meaning to 'neighborly'.

Former Arizonian,

Right, you are. Their guns went to Iran, Nicaragua and Afghanistan.

Mike, there's plenty of guns to go around for every nest of vipers, just like there's plenty of excuses for obama kicking the can down the road.......the very thing he said he wouldn't do. Of course, since the landslide 2010 elections, he can blame the R's for obstructing his well crafted plans to address immigration. It's still no excuse for doing nothing in the two years he had a Dem mandate.

The crazy-maker ignorance machine, otherwise known as Steve,as per usual comes through again.

There have been more deportations under Obama than any of the five previous presidents.

Mexico, with US assistance, has been doing a yeoman's job in curtailing the criminal drug cartels.

And believe me when I tell you that any immigration reforms proposed by the Obama administration will be opposed by GOP reps, their leadership, and then all the way down the ranks into the swamp of ignorance and hate where sleeze like Steve hang out.

Jose, I could tell Mexico has really cracked down on drug cartels because only 35000 people died in Mexico last year.
And I will acknowledge obama has enforced some federal laws by deporting criminal immigrants while he's occupied the White House, but you failed to recognize that his compliance with existing laws is not a comprehensive immigration policy.

Your ignorance reminds me of another ignoramus who haunts these posts, Juan. The deaths in Mexico you refer to are the inevitable consequence of a strong-fisted crackdown as is being delivered by the Mexican state. The cartel leaders are arrested, the cartel is weakened, and then violent competitors attempt to fill the vacuum. No American demand coming from the wayward kids in Pleasanton, no cartels and no deaths. I shouldn't have to explain this, but you seem not to remember much about anything that precedes your personalized little hatefests.

I could care less how many deportations Obama claims credit for, he will never never ever get rid of all the "illegals"!

My estimate is that there are close to 30 million "illegals" with more on the way as I make my blog entry! HOORAY! VIVA!

Don't be the least bit surprised if within the next 3-5 years, California will change its name to CALIFAS!

As for drugs, no American government has ever cared enough to put an end to illegal entry. The folks in the burbs are delighted that the flow of stuff is continuous. Their children love their highs. Drugs keep Plutonian neighborhood balanced. What's to worry about?

With names like Juan and Jose, lets try to set an example...pleeeze, be nice to one another. Life is short!

tee hee hee, tee hee hee...
